VAF, Oldendorff Carriers Inc and Norsepower have joined forces in a high technology project , taking the green shipping to the next level of accountability and verification. VAF recently installed its TT-Sense (shaft Torque & Thrust measurement sensor system) onboard an Oldendorff Carriers’ vessel. Utilizing the top-of-the-line sensor data, the Norsepower True Performance™ system can accurately measure the savings of the rotor sails.

The co-operation results in capturing real-time torque and thrust data of the propeller and combining this with rotor sail sensor data. This provides precise insights into how effectively the Norsepower Rotor Sail contributes to fuel savings and emissions reduction.

The joint project marks a significant step forward in making maritime transport more energy-efficient.
